I don't really use doctor that much repair is better. These might not have been the best choices. Luck is very important for getting the encounters. *note that all below special values are influenced by gifted* Bloody mess is a favorite of mine because it makes everything 1000% more bloody.
Intelligence is fairly high, so it balances out a little.
Gifted gives you +1 to all special points but -10% on all skills and -5 skill points on level ups. So, I guess the goal of the build is really to make everything easier.įirst, the traits, because they influence the special. These two encounters (and power armor, which this build will make somewhat easier to get) will allow you to have an easier time with this classic masterpiece. The goal of this build, however, is mainly to get you 2 special encounters - the crashed alien spaceship w/ blaster and the crashed nuka cola truck with a lot of caps. Speedrunners skip the water chip part but this isn't a speedrunning build. The goal of the game is to find a water chip and eliminate the subsequent mutant threat. I also recommend you go to preferences and set "running" to "always" - unless you want to sneak a lot. This wiki is very helpful with that sort of thing. If you get really stuck, though, there's no shame in looking up a walkthrough. Try to figure out things yourself, maybe keep a notebook to record things. 200 days to get a water chip and (up to) 13 years to get rid of the mutants, so it's not too too bad, but small things like caravaning you need to pay attention to. The game takes its time mechanics really seriously it's not like 3 where you can put off the Memorial indefinitely. Be sure to check the character page regularly for conditions and status effects. Hold right and move mouse to get and change interactions like examine, use, and talk. Left click to select, right click to change cursors. It trusts that you can figure things out on your own, or that you have read the manual. The system the game operates on is largely indifferent to you. Don't know why you'd want this if you've never played them but whatever. So if you have never played the classics, this is a short disclaimer-ish thing. The "legacy copy" is from 2010 so I highly doubt it. Please note that I play on a legacy copy of the collection that I got from, so the new steam and gog versions might change some things. This build was not completely made by any one person, but was randomly cobbled together from a couple old videos and my own substandard intuition. I do appreciate constructive criticism tho.įirst, where I got the build in the first place. It's not infallible or perfect - I'm not claiming it is - so no snarky comments. So, I have played Fallout 1 several times now and I think I have found a pretty good character build and I want to share it.
